Why do bees die after they sting us?

Honey Bees only sting when they feel that we are a threat to their hive or queen. The stinger of the honey bees are barbed. After stinging it can easily come out if the skin is thin. But in this case, human skin is thick, so it will try to pull its stinger out, but eventually it will end up tearing its abdomen, leaving behind the venom sac and digestive system, thus killing the bee. Though the bee is dead, we should remove its stinger as the venom sac still pumps venom, increasing the pain.
